It is a newly established industry organisation to serve and grow the Namibian biomass industry. N-BiG was founded through the support of the GIZ Support to De-bushing Programme, and its founding members. N-BiG looks forward to growing its membership base
Objectives
To develop market opportunities for biomass from bush encroachment;To up-scale harvesting and supply capacities; To address and resolve sector or industry bottlenecks, such as skills shortages and fundamental R&D; To create an environment for enabling policy and regulatory framework; and to provide administrative support to N-BiG subscribers and members, especially in the incubation phase of becoming a biomass supplier.
